There is a place beyond time. A world where the worst criminals from every timeline are cast away, never to return. A dumping ground for warlords, assassins, and fugitives too dangerous to be executed. A prison planet known as Vhar’Tok.

Skern was once a warlord in his own time, a savage conqueror who led his clans to endless bloodshed. However, the impact he had on his timeline was so great that he became what is known as a Time Anchor Point. The Chrono Division had to intervene and erased his timeline. But TAPs cannot be erased due to the massive impact it could have on the timestream. Instead they cast him into Vhar’Tok. They thought the planet would consume him, that he’d fall like so many others.

They were wrong. Skern thrived. He fought, he killed, he conquered. Every warlord who stood in his way fell beneath his twin axes. Now, he rules Vhar’Tok as its undisputed leader, the strongest of the strong, the eternal war chief of the damned.

But even in a world where every day is war, Skern grew restless. With no armies left to crush and no new challengers to test his might, he turned to one of the captives on Vhar'Tok. A warrior who claims to have once been part of a great arena where fighters engage in eternal combat and only the best win. With a newfound vigor, Skern set out to join the Athelan Battlegrounds by issuing a bogus claim for another planet.
